Somewhere Over the Rainbow(s)

Thursday, October 14th, 2010

After a gloomy, cloudy, rainy day I drove home from the store in pouring rain.  From Rockford I could see there was a huge sunny spot ahead, right over Chatty.  When I got home, this is what I found.

A gorgeous double rainbow to welcome me home.

Samples of Beaded Bezels

These show the technique you will be learning, but not the actual materials you will be working with.

13 November – Woven Snowflake

These snowflakes are woven out of seedbeads, spacers, czech firepolish glass and wire.  They make great gifts and can be used as Christmas tree decorations or suncatchers.

Class Schedule for October 2010

Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

Hi everyone.  There are 2 more classes scheduled for October.

October 23, 1:00pm – Wirework Pendant

This class will be taught by Kathy.  You will be making a wire wrapped pendant in a style similar to this picture:

The stones you will be working with are 35mm leopard jasper coins.  The wire is copper.  Class fee is $30 and includes the stone and the wire.

October 30 – 10:00am – Cellini Spiral

The cellini spiral is a very popular spiral that looks great as a bracelet or a necklace.  This is it:

In this class you will learn how to start the spiral and will practice stitching it.  There won’t be time to complete an entire project.  There will be several colourways options.  The class fee is $30 and includes materials.  You will have enough beads to complete a 7 inch spiral.

The November classes I am planning include snowflakes and beading a bezel around a cabochon.  If you have any classes in mind that you would like to take, let me know what they are and good dates for you and I will try to accommodate your request.
