12 June – 1:00pm – $35- Wire Wrapped Pendant

19 June – Copper Bracelet – $35 – 9:30am

Note the time on this class.  This project is a bit longer so we are going to start a bit earlier.  The stones may vary.

The May classes have been posted in the store for some time, but here they are:

1 May – Copper Bangle – 9:30am – $35 including materials – This bangle is made with square copper wire.  The project takes a bit longer than the usual, so notice the start time.  The materials cost more too, hence the slightly higher price.  The gemstones may vary.

8 May – Beaded Bezel – 10:00am – $30 including materials – We will learn how to bead a bezel around a cabochon and add a beaded bail so it can be strung on a rope or chain.   You will have a choice of one of my dichroic glass cabs as part of the materials.

15 May – Spiral Bracelet with Crystal Accents – 10:00am – $30 including materials -  We will be making this spiral bracelet.  You may choose your own colours, but I strongly suggest using high contrast colours for your first bracelet.

There won’t be a class on Saturday 22 May (the long weekend) unless someone particularly requests something.

29 May – Beaded Beads – 10:00am – $30 including materials

The first class in April, on the 10th (10:am) is a new beginners class.  We will be making a 2-strand bracelet in choice of colour and learning about stringing, crimping, wrapped loops, closures, and so forth.

Class fee $30 including materials (plus tax).

On the 17th (10:00am), Chainmaille earrings – 2 types – $30 including materials (silver plate or aluminum rings and ear hooks)

I’ve had multiple requests to repeat the Flat Spiral Bracelet, so if you want it, here it is.   24th of April (10:00am)  Class fee $30 including materials.

After the warm spell the last few weeks, things are really looking like spring.  Had this lovely surprise in the garden this morning.and these too

Spent the morning bathing the doggies, then went to the conservation area…

And got the muddies, so had to redo baths when we got home.   But what a heavenly day….

Since injuring my knee last month, I’ve been off my feet a bit so have had a chance to do a bit more creative stuff than usual.  Here are a few of my new pieces.

Finally located a source for copper wire and made this bangle as a first project.  A bit of a challenge but lost of fun and it’s getting many compliments.

I have loved turquoise since my Dad bought me a silver and turquoise ring when I was a kid, so this turquoise howlite immediately appealed.  Teamed it up with copper chain and wire.  Was going to sell this one, but it is now in a private collection (mine).

My reading glasses are becoming more and more of a necessity and I hate those arm-hanging eyeglass leashes, so I did this copper and turquoise howlite chain with a square toggle that will hold my glasses folded flat when I’m ot wearing them.

February, the month of love and Valentines Day.  In honour, the class on the 13th will make a cute little red firepolish glass heart.  Yes, I know it’s not red in the picture, but the ones we will be making will be.  You can use them as cell phone or purse charms or window bling, or hang them on a chain and wear as a pendant.    Class fee $30 including materials.

On February 20th, we will venture into the land of netting and make this lovely feminine necklace – Turquoise Tracery.Probably won’t finish it during the class but should have a good start to it and there will be a pattern to take home.  Class fee $30 including materials.

On February 27 we will be making 2 sets of chain maille earrings, one sinple, one a bit more complex.   Class fee $30 including materials.

As always, please pre-register in the store to give me time to prepare your class materials.   Purchases made on days you take a class earn you a 10% discount.

If you have a class you particularly want that we can provide, let us know – and especially if you round up another couple of people that want the same class there’s a good chance it will be scheduled for you.

The January class schedule is available in the store, the classes include a repeat of the introductory stringing class (by request), the swarovski crystal bracelet class, a chain, wire and bead necklace class and a chainmaille bracelet.

This is a quick outline of the class schedule for November.  More pictures will follow.

The November 14th class is full.  This class will make a Fab 50’s Bracelet.  This versatile piece is designed by the very talented Glenda Payseno and is being taught with her kind permission.  There appears to be a lot of interest in that class, so we are prepared to repeat it on November 21st at 10:00am and are taking bookings for that date.

The November 28th, 10:00 am class will be a Christmas Tree Ornament Drape.  Pictures to follow.

The December 5th 10:00 am class will be a French beaded Christmas tree We will be making the tree, the decorating will be ‘homework’.    This class requires beads prestrung on wire, so we will have a bead spinner, beads and wire available for you to use at the store to prepare, or you make take the beads and wire home at the time of booking.  There won’t be time during the class to string the beads. registgration for this class will begin the week of Nov 7.

All classes require pre-booking and pre-payment to allow us time to prepare your materials.  Maximum class size is 6.

In October, we have a couple of great bracelet classes scheduled.

The class on the 17th will be a variation of the Hungarian Wave.  I ‘designed’ this bracelet, in that I frog-stitched until everything fit to my liking,  but this stitch fairly screams out for this treatment so I’m betting it’s been done before, even though googling Hungarian Wave didn’t get me very far.

On the 24th, we will be repeating the Flat Spiral Bracelet because we have had numerous requests.  This time we will have several colourways options.

The fee for each class is $30 including materials.   Classes are limited to 6 students.  These two classes will be held starting at 10:00 am on their respective dates.  Please pre-register to give us time to prepare your materials.

For those of you eagerly awaiting the polymer clay, we have a full range of the standard Premo colours in stock now as well as Liquid Sculpey and glaze.
